From a system point of view, Vobile's VideoDNA™ technology is embodied in a client-server architecture that consists of several key components, including the VideoDNA™ Client and Server, and the VideoDNA™ DataBase (VDDB).
A VideoDNA™ Client can be implemented in software or hardware, in PCs, appliances, or handheld devices. The basic functionality of a VideoDNA™ Client is to extract VideoDNA™ data from a given video, and communicate with a VideoDNA™ Server for VideoDNA™ query and match.
A VideoDNA™ Server answers queries and returns match results to a VideoDNA™ Client. It is supported in its backend by a VDDB that contains VideoDNA™ data and associated metadata for known video. A VDDB is often pre-populated before being used for video identification.
